The BADRAT BOLT
Event Profile
The BADRAT Bolt is BADRAT Runners’ officially licensed England Athletics road running race event, forming part of the popular Somerset Series race calendar.
Starting and finishing at Chilton Trinity School near Bridgwater, the route takes runners through the beautiful countryside and villages surrounding Chilton Trinity and Wembdon, delivering a fast, scenic and atmospheric race experience.
Inspired by the original Bridgwater Bolt 10K, the 10.3km route has been reimagined to remove the previous rough and uneven terrain sections, while also reducing the overall climbing profile to create a smoother, faster and more runner-friendly course.
Following a fantastic debut event in 2026, which sold out with 350 entries, the BADRAT Bolt has quickly established itself as one of the area's exciting and community-driven race events, combining strong local support, a welcoming BADRAT atmosphere and a professionally delivered race-day experience.
From first-time 10K runners chasing a new challenge, to experienced runners targeting fast times, the BADRAT Bolt aims to deliver an event runners genuinely look forward to returning to year after year.
